David Owen

David Owen has been a staff writer for the New Yorker since 1991. Before joining the New Yorker, he was a contributing editor at the Atlantic Monthly. Owen has also been a regular contributor to numerous other magazines, including Harper's and Esquire, and he is a contributing editor at Golf Digest. He is the author of a dozen books, including The Man Who Invented Saturday Morning: And Other Adventures in American Enterprise and Sheetrock and Shellac: A Thinking Person's Guide to the Art and Science of Home Improvement. He lives in northwest Connecticut with his wife, writer Ann Hodgman, and their two children.
