Ursula Hegi is the author of The Worst Thing I've Done, Sacred Time, Hotel of the Saints, The Vision of Emma Blau, Tearing the Silence, Salt Dancers, the New York Times bestseller Stones from the River, Floating in My Mother's Palm, Unearned Pleasures and Other Stories, Intrusions, and Trudi & Pia. Born and raised in Dusseldorf, Germany, Ursula emigrated to the United States at age eighteen and taught creative writing at Eastern Washington University for many years. She is the recipient of more than thirty grants and awards, including an NEA Fellowship, five PEN Syndicated Fiction Awards, and a book award from the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association.
